Shadow Frame

I had a friend of mine sit for me this summer and I painted her onsite and then again and this is the 3rd or 4th version. She has a face because she is not the laundry lady.  Plus I felt like in the setting of the piece is was needed, as vague as it is.  I had a great time with this painting series. The sun and the red umbrella all play together to make this an ideal situation. My dog made it in too. He is a nice anchor for any larger painting. Many thanks to EW for sitting for me.

I have worked on this painting since this picture was taken. It is a more vibrant umbrella and a few more changes. If you are interested I can send you a picture!
