This painting is the first one I did after my most recent show. I was hoping to capture the feel of summer as it slipped away for another year, and have my laundry lady having a minute to regroup, smell the flowers and figure out what my next move was, painting wise. It turned into a dozen or more paintings with her in them, but every one of them is leading me somewhere. I love this piece. She is in a happy and bright place and I can almost feel the sunshine on her.
