Maple Shadow Frame

This painting is one I did recently from the ones I did in the Spring from my hydrangeas. It is from this reference and memory trying to exaggerate the lush flowers, the shadows on the vase and the extreme neutrality of the background. This piece fits in anywhere and despite the bold pops of color, the overall feel is calm. I love the way it turned out.
