Maple Shadow Frame

I took this little painting with me this summer because it was not quite finished. I darkened the sky and it now works for me! It is part of the city lights in the snow and captures the warm glow of the distant town, in winter, in the mountains.

My Aunt asked me how I got this view and thought maybe an airplane. Maybe. But it is pure invention and memory from seeing it so many times but certainly the vantage point would be a birds eye view. These little paintings are some of my favorites!
