This painting is obviously exaggerated and an idealized view of twilight in the snow covered mountains. I did several mountain scenes like this and you can look at instagram for my long winded reasons why! this piece is in a high key and all that means is your darkest darks are lighter and the contrast is less. It is an indulgent piece. I love that color blue and the lights in the little town just feel like I need to be there.
