Maple Shadow Frame

One day I had to run an errand about an hour away from Nimrod Hall, where I work in the summers, as an artist but also as an owner of a resort, so this was a fast trip the big hardware store. I felt sorry for myself, so instead of driving non-stop as fast as I could to get back I veered off the main highway, which was also just a two lane road, and did some exploring. These little paintings are from that afternoon and seeing what was right around the corner from me once I stopped to look.
