This is an Original Oil Painting

Not really meaning to do so, a lot of my paintings are like photos where the subject is looking right at me, the painter, and not going to lie, I just realized that recently. I am the generation of the kodak camera, pentax manual camera, the point and shoot, the cannon with the battery you had to charge. We have gone through some cameras in my day! So maybe that is why? I will never look at my iPhone camera as anything but a straight up miracle.

But I also have a tendency to paint the subject from behind, but they still look like a photo in that way, too. My goal in these works is the light. The way the light is on her dress, int he clouds, and when I paint these, I am not thinking much more than that. Painting white with sunlight on it is a real love for me. I never have gotten it just right but it's not dark white it is purple, blue, oranges. Asleep yet? I will stop waxing on....
