This is an Original Oil Painting

I did a whole series of flower paintings in the last year! I love a good powerful flower. This one is a big group of pink roses and a very direct light. The overall effect of this painting is pretty calm despite the liberal use of brushwork and texture. I have been fairly driven to the brighter pinks in past past few years and this one is as simple as it gets without going fully abstract and was the last in the series before that happened.
