In the summer when the cherries are ripe and abundant I always get a little itch to paint them (and eat them). So I do both. They are the perfect chance to haul out the reds when landscapes are what is in front of your eyes all the time.  Especially when you are surrounded by foliage in a little studio in the mountains. Bring on the cadmium red light!
