I am always painting the flower! I love a good powerful flower! These black vases are so nice and contrasting that I pop them in my paintings often. Okay to be fair I do make up a lot of the blooms but isn’t that part of it? My botanical painters are all simultaneously cringing.

Painters like me are illusionists. I am not trying to replicate I am trying to create something that works on a canvas. That’s me defending myself. : ) It is the truth, though! I am at heart abstract with recognizable objects and it is where I like to be!
