She is not matted because she is on handmade paper and is slightly too large for the mat window. She would be great float framed or with a custom mat.

Gouache is a type of paint that is an opaque water color. It is the water based paint that is approached the most like oil paint in that your highlights are your final brush marks where in water color you leave the white of your paper as the highlights. Still awake? Art speak.

I have been painting in gouache for as long as I have with oils. They are less expensive because they are more fragile, and oil paintings take so much longer and are much more expensive to produce but the colors on gouache are astounding and they make an amazing statement.

Frame is not included because I simply cannot ship glass. : ) I have learned that the hard way. It is a weakness on my part!
