This painting was done of a mountain from a window in a house we rented one winter. I could stand there for days and look at the lights of this bustling ski town, drink in hand, all tired out from a day of skiing. Idealistic! Definitely. But that is why I think we can get though winter. The cozy windows and the warmth of the lights on the snow or just in the darkness. I love a glowing light int he summer, too, but painting the snow at night lets you break out your blues and your violets and honestly, it is so fun to do. I love how this one turned out.
