Snow is always a draw for me because of the various whites and blues and all around contrast of day or night scenes. I also think snow is the only good thing about winter. All of my snow paintings are done without any reference but instead, focus on the illustrative narrative in my own mind about what is happening. Snow is magical for me because I grew up in a place that rarely had snow, so to this day it brings a true thrill to see it coming down. I immediately have to text everyone in my family down in Louisiana and brag. these paintings try to capture how the snow makes me feel. Blissful.

The striped scarf is a favorite of mine. It can show wind and light and I love to paint it.
