True Maple Shadow Frame

This piece is one that I gravitate to again and again- the interior with strong lights and shadows casting onto objects. It is a scene that I always am mesmerized because of the contrast.  Just lights and darks. She is not anyone specific. My quest was to create a place where it felt warm, cozy and safe. You might notice I love to read. Reading a book is a favorite escape and I never get tired of painting people reading. Or reading myself, for that matter.
