True Maple Shadow Frame

Every now and then I haul all the equipment outside to do some plein air work- of which mine tends to just look like my normal work and not a pastoral landscape, never ceases to amaze me. All these little paintings tend to get more and more abstracted while still having representation objects. This is the trough in the garden we use for any outside water needs. Right then it was full of tomato and flower food.
