Maple Shadow Frame

I love painting landscapes when I am in Bath County where I own a summer art colony. It is kind of obligatory in your brain to do them and this year I played around a lot with different colors to emphasize light, time of day and most of all, the way the mountains can feel like just a wall of mountain, a very solid mass. These paintings led me to the larger paintings, then campers came in, and all in all it just evolves!
