Painting from life from the outside of the upstairs little house where we stay at Nimrod. I planted lots of new flowers this summer and many of them were bulbs that I had never planted before and I loved seeing just pop up out of nowhere, and all the annuals trying to out flash of color each other. I enjoyed these beauties when going in and out of the little house where we stay all summer long. The paint on this piece varies from almost transparent in the window panes to very thick on the petals of the flowers making for a very energetic feel of the work.
