I did only a few paintings in my life that evoke the kind of books I like to read. I LOVE to read. I read and it is one of the only times my brain feels totally at peace.

I believe this small series of women with Victorian homes with jewel like colors must be coming from my escapism into any book I can read about a strong woman in times that make me just feel the woman power. I have hav read books in colonial indian times and these wives who would just travel for 4 months to then travel more and live grandly for where they were, but not at all where they were familiar. It is the same story all over history. The woman and her domain.

I did pop my own dogs in the paintings for purely selfish reasons but if you can do that in you own painting then what can you do?
