Red Water Tower

I seem to be a little obsessed with this water tower image that I paint over and over. I think it is only to have a solid block of color to anchor the flurry of abstract markings surrounding it. It is not an actual water tower, obviously, I just look at the paintings once they are done and it is excruciating to have to name abstract for me, but for the sake of individualizing them it has to be done. I think this is one of my favorites because of the colors behind the red being so light and ethereal that the whole piece comes off calm to me despite the crimson focal point. Most of my abstracts can be hung in any direction but this one really should be hung vertically. As you can see from the size, the piece can be the focal point of a larger area or look great in a smaller one.
