One of a series of still life pieces I worked on that were pure joy and fun to paint. I started the series when I had been painting for a month or more and very much in the zone (artist speak for having enough time to work that you really never lose your train of thought and you just simply paint better). I picked some of my favorite things and laid them out in a corner of my studio and just enjoyed the color and the play of one against the other and listened to loud music over the drone of about 10 fans going at once. This painting just seems happy and content to me but that may be because I felt that way when I was working on it.
