A few years ago, I did a series of works of children almost life size. I love this piece, not from any reference but just an invented scene of the mountains, a child, a dog and the ever present (in my work) red roofed cottage.  This piece is a little different as it is very graphically approached. It is a very straightforward painting but the handling of the paint is rich and thick so in person is not overly simplistic in person at all but very visually engaging . As I always prefer, the sun is shining bright.
