Maple Floater Frame

An oblique from above view of the dining room at Nimrod Hall, capturing the deer heads and the planes of the tables and objects in a mostly abstract approach. The focal point in this room, in person, is hard to pinpoint because it is a bevy of activity just in the structure itself,  but in the painting the deer is a prominent feature against the white ceiling. I have painted this beloved room so many times that I look for new and interesting ways to take what is a very complicated subject matter and simplify it to as few objects as I can and have it still be instantly recognizable to anyone who has been there.
