Maple Floater Frame

This piece is from a trip to Miami we took where the lifeguard stations are so cute they are absurd. Like little doll houses perched on stilts out on the beach. I did a series of them from the West Coast a few years back and then another series of the ones on the East Coast. They are really just abstract paintings with a recognizable feature. It is hard to see online but the colors in the water are more variable and the whole piece just embodies summertime. My favorite time. The beauty of Miami is it is always summertime, and this piece makes me feel that way.
