Maple Shadow Frame

This painting was one of the barn at Nimrod, inspired by the painting, The Reader. I painted in with a loose representation of what is actually there but I could not fund what I wanted so set it aside. One day I realized I needed the figure and dog in the left to give the scene some humanity because Nimrod is all about people. I like it so much better, now. I always struggle to make the greens as vibrant as they are at Nimrod, but to my eyes, it is almost neon green when it has rained a lot, so I just have to paint it that way, or ot looks sad to me, not joyful the way it is.
