I love a good powerful flower. This one is a favorite with a massive group of roses crammed in a vase and then some little quirky smaller flowers. The symmetry of this painting makes it feel like such a serious statement and then the little quirky yellow flower just refuses to not just be himself! I do tend to personify things but they just have a personality. It is more minimalist than a lot of my work but it is such a statement painting.
