Every summer I gather up all the plein air things and venture out in the fields (literally in this case) to paint. This tree was being blasted by the sun with the shadowed cliff of trees in the background giving me what I always love-contrast. There is a pond if you really look, between the tree and the cliff but as usual I am playing around with the reality.
